The Crossroads of Fate and The Pull of The Great Attractor

We are emerging out of the shadow cast by the Scorpio New Moon. We now have some refreshing clarity—but we’re not out of the woods just yet. The Full Super Moon in Gemini on Thursday, December 4th, at 6:14 p.m. EST comes with the mystery of the crossroads. We are at the center point of infinite possibilities, and we must decide which direction we are going to take.

Along with the crossroads of choice, the main themes for this Full Moon include walking our destiny line, magnetizing our deepest heart’s desires, and becoming the wise ruler of our shadows. Each section comes with reflective questions to journal or meditate on. Because there is a lot of information in this guide, trust your intuition about what energy you are most meant to explore and deepen into during this Gemini Full Moon.

Full Moon in Gemini Overview

Full Moons represent a culmination of energy, a release point, or the completion of something. They are also illuminating, as they shine a light on what we are meant to see or know.

The focus of the release point or illumination has to do with the energetics surrounding the New Moon. As such, we want to reflect on the past few weeks since the New Moon in Scorpio. We can take the experiences, shadows, insights, or significant moments we experienced over the past few weeks and examine them under the clarifying light of the Gemini Full Moon.

Gemini represents the mind, our perception, and our ability to mentally understand our surroundings. It is also about our ability to communicate what we are perceiving; as such, it rules language and writing. As a mutable air sign, Gemini easily bounces from one idea to the next; it is very adaptable and flexible. Gemini is also the sign of the Twins, symbolizing duality, choice, and “seeing both sides.”

With Mercury now direct and the Full Moon in Gemini, we have more mental clarity around what we have been experiencing over the past few weeks. Not only are we reflecting on this, but the energy of this moment is asking us to make a decision or choice based on it as well. The reason for this is that the Moon and Sun (which are always opposing each other during a Full Moon) are squaring the Nodes of Fate.

Reflective Questions:

  • What experiences, emotions, or shadows surfaced for me over the past few weeks?

  • What is the Gemini Full Moon illuminating for me now that I couldn’t fully see before?

  • What feels ready to be expressed, spoken, or written that I’ve been holding in?

Full Moon Square the Nodes of Fate

At the crossroads, we are faced with an opportunity to choose a new path. This moment of choice is powerful and has the potential to shape the rest of our lives. This is because the crossroads is represented by a Mutable Grand Cross between the Sun, Moon, and the North and South Nodes.

While this Full Moon is not an eclipse, it shares a similar energy due to its relationship with the nodes. The nodes represent our destiny line and are highly karmic in nature. The South Node is where we’ve come from—our ancestry, past lives, childhood, etc. It’s what we know and what we’re comfortable with. The North Node is what we are meant to learn and grow into in this lifetime. It is the unknown; therefore, it is not comfortable or easy to embody. But it is ultimately fulfilling and life-giving.

As a collective, we are asked to evolve more into the traits of Pisces (the North Node) and release what no longer serves in the realm of Virgo (the South Node). This can look like developing more compassion, spiritual awareness, and opening up to new levels of union consciousness. Pisces, at its highest level, is related to Christ Consciousness, which is the ability to recognize the Divine within all matter.

Meanwhile, we might need to release our need to control every detail of our lives, including over-analyzing and operating from a tense, anxious, and overly critical state. It is about releasing the idea of perfection.

With the Sun and Moon squaring the nodes, we are being asked to let go of something that no longer serves (South Node) and to take a new direction (North Node). This could be something internal, such as letting go of outdated belief systems, wounds, or identities. It could also be external, such as changing daily habits (Virgo), committing to a spiritual practice, or giving yourself more time to create art (Pisces).

Most importantly, I believe this choice has something to do with whatever was brought to the surface since the Scorpio New Moon. What shadows or old wounds emerged? What were your revelations and your future dreams?

This is a moment of karmic release where we are supported by the cosmos to let go of the old and step into the new. What “old stuff” came up for you over the past few weeks? Now is our opportunity to look at it in a new light and consciously choose to release it as well as choose a new path going forward. What are you meant to learn and know from it? What is your shadow teaching you?

Along with this grand cross, the Sun is sextile and the Moon is trine Pallas Athena (15° Aquarius). This is adding strategy and wisdom to our choice. This isn’t necessarily a moment of action, but of deep reflection, planning, intention setting, and future visions (Sun in Sagittarius).

Yes, this choice has to do with the future we want to create for ourselves—the future we’re dreaming into being. This is amplified by the Sun conjunct the Great Attractor during this Gemini Full Moon.

Reflective Questions:

  • What decision or shift feels like it has the potential to shape the next chapter of my life?

  • What patterns, habits, or identities do I recognize as part of my “old self”? How do I feel called to release, transmute, or heal these parts of self?

  • What does stepping into a more spiritually aligned version of myself look like right now?

Sun Conjunct the Great Attractor: Magnetizing our Deepest Heart’s Desires

The Great Attractor is a massive gravitational anomaly that is pulling the Milky Way—our solar system—toward it. It sits at 14° Sagittarius. During this Full Moon, the Sun is at 13° Sagittarius.

In astrology, the Great Attractor is a benign force that helps us magnetize what we most long for. This is a moment in time to dream big—who do you want to be, what do you want your life to be, and what do you want the world to look like? Focus on your deepest heart's desires and imagine pulling them toward you, as if you are the Great Attractor drawing in what you most long for.

Again, this isn’t necessarily a time for action (though it could be, based on your unique life), but a time of gestation. With Neptune in the final degree of Pisces and the North Node in Pisces, we are metaphorically in the “void.” The infinite formless, the womb space from which all creation is formed.

That is the space we want to be in when we’re at the crossroads: stillness, openness, formlessness, nothingness. And from this still point, creation is birthed. It might drop in as an idea, an inspiration, a knowing, a longing, or a future vision. But we must first clear our minds and drop into the stillness within.

Along with the Great Attractor and the Crossroads of Fate, there is one more significant dynamic at play during the Full Moon in Gemini. The Sun and Moon aren’t the only planets in a grand cross; there is also a Grand Cross between Venus, Uranus + Sedna, Persephone, and Mary Magdalene.

Reflective Questions:

  • What do I most deeply long for at the soul level—not what I think I should want, but what my heart longs for?

  • What does my ideal life look and feel like emotionally, spiritually, creatively, relationally?

  • What future world do I want to contribute to or help shape?

  • What arises in me when I allow myself to be quiet and still—what ideas, visions, or knowings begin to form?

Divine Feminine Grand Cross: Full-Body Transformation

A key theme for this year and the next is transformation. The astrology has been pointing to this with the significant conjunction of Uranus and the dwarf planet Sedna, as well as the remarkable angles between the outer planets.

Spiritually, energetically, and even biologically, humanity is going through a profound evolutionary transformation. We are just at the beginning—the gestation phase—and many astrologers and spiritual leaders are referring to this profound moment in time as the birth of a New Human and a New Earth.

And of course, this Full Moon in Gemini is a reminder that we are in the chrysalis of change. Venus is opposing Uranus + Sedna, which is our feminine lover facing rapid awakening and full-body transformation.

These planets are squaring Mary Magdalene in Virgo and Persephone in Pisces, who are tightly opposing each other. This points to awakening and purifying our heart chakra so we can embody expanded, unconditional love (Mary Magdalene), as well as becoming the wise ruler of our shadow (Persephone).

As I mentioned earlier, the North Node in Pisces (and Neptune at 29° Pisces) is related to Christ Consciousness. Mary Magdalene is directly connected to this energy and represents feminine Christ Consciousness.

In other words, this is the embodiment of Divine Love, for to see with the eyes of Christ, one must see with the eyes of the heart. With Mary Magdalene in aspect to Venus, Persephone, and Uranus + Sedna, it is yet another opportunity for us to awaken to the mysteries of Christ Consciousness and what it means to embody it as a human. This includes the parts that have been deemed less “holy,” including our sexuality, shadow, and feminine nature.

These aspects of our being—our sexuality, shadow, and feminine nature—also have to do with Persephone. She symbolizes the reclamation of these hidden parts of Self and the inherent power they hold. One of the greatest themes about Persephone that is loudly speaking to me during this Full Moon is learning how to walk through our shadow with wisdom, maturity, and love.

By this, I mean those moments when we are in the full throes of the ego, when we are deeply triggered, or when we are struggling with grief, depression, anxiety, or any sort of internal hardship. These moments are inevitable; they are part of this human experience. So it isn’t about trying to avoid them, but rather about how we walk through them. It is about becoming the wise queen or king of your own shadow—staying connected to your body and loving and taking care of yourself in the ways that best serve.

This circles back to the significance of choice. In those moments, we have a choice in how we relate to ourselves and our circumstances. It is a crossroads, and we can choose whether we want to fall back into old, familiar ways (South Node) or choose a new path forward (North Node). And if you’re not sure how to choose a new path, choose love. Let your heart and the infinite love within be your guide.

Reflective Questions:

  • In what ways do I feel myself changing, spiritually, emotionally, or energetically, during this evolutionary moment?

  • What rapid or unexpected awakenings have moved through my heart, body, or relationships recently?

  • How am I being invited to embody a deeper, more compassionate form of love toward myself, others, or the world?

  • What does feminine Christ Consciousness mean to me personally?

  • In what ways am I being asked to reclaim the sacredness of parts of myself once labeled “unholy”—my sexuality, my body, my shadows, my emotions?

  • What have I learned about myself through recent encounters with my shadow?

  • How can I nurture myself when I’m struggling without abandoning, shaming, or disconnecting from myself?

Practice Ideas

As we are collectively in the gestation phase of transformation—the goo of the chrysalis before the caterpillar turns into a butterfly—it is important to drop into moments of stillness within. Practice entering the void of nothingness. You can do this by bringing your awareness to your physical womb or the “womb” of the heart. Let go of everything outside of you, release all identity and thought, and be nourished by loving stillness.

Along with moments of stillness, you’re invited to explore these ideas for your Full Moon ritual or ceremony:

  • Crossroads Meditation: Begin by entering a state of stillness as discussed above. From that experience, imagine standing at a crossroads. Perhaps there is an experience you had previously that you want to make a choice or a decision about. Allow your inner guidance/higher self show you the path to take and what that path symbolizes for you.

  • Open to Unconditional Love: Bring your awareness to your heart space with your breath and focus. Notice how your heart feels. Think of something you love, maybe a pet, a person, or a place. Deepen into the sensation of love that arises when you think of this being or place. Allow the sensation to fill your heart. See if you can expand this feeling of love into your whole body. See how far and wide this love can go. Can it reach into the places within that are hard to love? Allow yourself to overflow with love and be fully present to the experience.

  • Great Attractor Embodiment: Set the intention to embody the energy of the Great Attractor. You could use the words, “I welcome the frequency of the Great Attractor into my being. May I become it.” Give yourself time to play with this energy and tune into the feeling of it. Once you feel connected, envision drawing your deepest longings toward you. You are magnetizing and calling them in with your longing. Dream big. Dream wild. Nothing is too “out there.”

Along with these practice ideas, you’re invited to explore the many on-demand offerings available at Shadow•n•Soul, including the upcoming Ground and Rest: An Alchemical Masterclass. As always, trust your intuition above all else on what practices best support you during this Gemini Full Moon.

May this pivotal Full Moon support your soul’s highest path forward. May you integrate the lessons from your shadow and embody transformational love for yourself and all beings.

With Love,
