Feminine Awakening, Masculine Healing, and Reclaiming Inner Sovereignty

This Full Moon in Aries on October 6, 2025, at 11:47 p.m. brings fiery passion, intense emotions, and a blaze of inner sovereignty. Masculine archetypes are loud in the sky, so this is a moment in time to honor and cleanse your inner masculine. By attuning to the sacred, wise masculine within, we can better navigate the shadowy aspects of this Full Moon.

In this guide, we’ll explore why the energy is pointing toward transforming our inner masculine. But that’s not the only energy at play; there is also feminine awakening, healing of old wounds, the enlivening of our sacred heart, and powerful shadow work available.

As you read through this guide, I invite you to pay attention to your body and what stands out to you the most. I’ll be providing a lot of information about the different dynamics occurring, so tune in to what most serves you in this moment. Trust that wisdom, and let it be your guide as you tune into the frequency of this Full Moon.

Full Moon in Aries Overview

During a Full Moon, the Sun and Moon are always opposite, so each occupies opposing signs. With the Full Moon in Aries (14°), the Sun is in Libra (14°). This is the relationship axis—self (Aries) vs. other (Libra). This is a Super Full Moon, meaning the Moon is closer to the Earth. Because of this, the Full Moon will have a greater pull on our psyches and emotions. Being in fiery Aries makes this Full Moon that much more intense and dynamic. We have a greater chance of really noticing it in our bodies and minds, like it’s right in our faces.

The Aries key phrase is "I AM," and this points to pure consciousness. It is the first sign in the zodiac, symbolizing the first spark of life. It represents the essential life-force energy within us. As such, Aries is connected to our primal fire, and therefore is about self-sovereignty, creation, action, confidence, and pioneering into the new.

With the Moon in cardinal fire (Aries), we could feel more energized or experience fiery emotions. We may want to take action based on these emotions without fully thinking or centering ourselves first. This is something to pay attention to as a potential caution, but in a positive way, it may also inspire us to start a project, connect with someone, try something new, or simply be more active.

With the Sun in Libra—the sign of relationships, harmony, justice, and balance—there could be tension between wanting to take action (Aries) and keeping the peace or balance in a relationship (Libra). It all comes down to self-sovereignty, and making choices and taking action from that wise place within.

This is a Full Moon to reflect on your relationship dynamics and your connection to your inner sovereignty. With Pluto in the mix, we want to pay attention to power dynamics within our relationships, but we’ll get more into that below.

What exactly is inner sovereignty? I like to think of it as the power or primal fire within us that is our essential core. It is the part of us that exists when we strip away all the layers of our identities, roles, responsibilities, and expectations. It is our I AM presence. It is inherently Divine, for it is the Divine within us. It is our Soul point: a wellspring of infinite love and light that connects us to the Infinite. It is our connection to Source Intelligence, where every answer to every question is found, and it is the foundation of our Inner Truth. When we source our power and take action from this place, we become powerful co-creators with the Universe.

When we live from this place, it can rock the boat of our relationships (Libra) and societal structures because we are no longer seeking power, love, guidance, or security from anything outside of us. It is already within us. We have been conditioned, for thousands of years, to believe that we need outside authorities to define who we are, what we believe in, and how we should live. Now is a revolutionary time of reclaiming our sovereignty and inner authority. This is a long-term process that was initiated with the Neptune-Saturn conjunction in Aries. Now, this Full Moon is highlighting this wisdom, which will continue through 2026.

Reclaiming our inner sovereignty is a lifelong, daily practice. May this Full Moon in Aries help you bring your awareness to the power within you. I can try to explain it to you, but you will never understand unless you experience it yourself. It is a Knowing, one that is deep within your being. The mind can barely grasp it, so let your heart and body be the gateway to this deeper knowing. I invite you to connect with your inner power daily, through meditation or some sort of spiritual practice, to deepen your relationship with—and embodiment of—your sacred sovereignty.

Reflective Questions/Journal Prompts:

  • What does inner sovereignty mean to me? How does it feel in my body?

  • How are my relationships doing? Do I feel whole and sovereign in them, or do I feel like I need to diminish myself in any way to “keep the peace?”

  • Do I look outside of myself for comfort, guidance, love, or acceptance? Who/what do I look to?

  • What practices support me in connecting to my inner sovereignty on a daily basis?

  • What does it feel like to strip away all identity, roles, responsibilities, and expectations—even just for a moment? Who/what are you then?

Full Moon Grand Trine with The Sacred Feminine

During this Full Moon in Aries, the Moon is in a Grand Trine configuration with the asteroids Medusa and Vesta (conjunct in Sagittarius) and Mary Magdalene (in Leo). The Sun is also sextile Medusa (14°).

Because both the Sun and Moon are at perfect angles to Medusa, she is an energy to pay attention to. She represents feminine wounding—the masks and armor we wear to protect our vulnerable and soft nature. She is the hard casing we sometimes put around our hearts as a form of protection to keep others away. She also symbolizes sexual trauma, repressed sexuality, and the sister wound.

With the Moon, Vesta, and Mary Magdalene in the mix, it adds even more feminine energy to the dynamic. The moon is our intuition, emotional nature, and our nurturing self. Vesta points to what we devote ourselves to: our sacred calling in this life. Mary Magdalene also represents devotion, but devotion to the Divine, to unconditional love. She awakens our sacred heart and teaches us how to live from heart consciousness.

A Grand Trine is a harmonious pattern, so together, they are weaving a thread of devotion to the Sacred Feminine. Think of it as support for honoring the Sacred Feminine within you—all of her tenderness, all of her longings, all of her wounds, grief, love, and sensual nature. They are asking us to honor Her, and with Medusa, it’s pointing to softening the protections we’ve placed around our hearts that no longer serve. It’s also about where we suppress, repress, or harden our feminine nature, including sexuality and pleasure, out of trauma or fear of how other people may respond or think of us.

With Medusa being supported by archetypes who represent devotion to the sacred within, it shows that we are safe, held, and supported to soften and open ourselves to love, pleasure, and feminine wisdom. To trust our intuition, our body wisdom, and to become devoted to the wise one within.

Because this is a Grand Fire Trine (they are all in fire signs), there’s passion, intensity, and courage involved in this. Allow the feminine to flow through you as a sacred fire, awakening, enlivening, and energizing every part of you, until you are shining with feminine radiance. Allow yourself to feel the joy of aliveness coursing through you, and consider what truly makes you feel alive and joyful.

Reflective Questions/Journal Prompts:

  • What activities, places, mindsets, or practices help me feel alive and joyful?

  • What does my inner feminine need?

  • On a soul-deep level, what are my callings? What do I feel devoted to?

  • What masks do I wear to protect myself from other people’s opinions and judgments? What would it feel like to take them off?

  • How am I feeling at this moment—deeply and truly? Can I give myself the space and time to really feel my emotions without judgment or attaching stories to them?

Inner Feminine Awakening

The other strong feminine aspect at play during this Full Moon is the planet Venus, which is conjunct the South Node in Virgo. She is the focal point in an ongoing aspect pattern that involves Pluto trining Uranus and Sedna, who are both sextiling Saturn and Neptune. Pluto and Uranus are both trining Venus, forming a Grand Trine, and she is opposing Saturn and Neptune, forming a rare geometric kite pattern.

Pluto, Uranus, Neptune, and Saturn have all been interacting with each other for a while now, and they will continue to do so. But now, Venus is in the mix. So the energy they’ve been stirring up for the past several months is all directed toward her. Combined, their energy is about transformation, awakening to new levels of consciousness, and reclaiming our Divine sovereignty. Now, this energy is pointed at our inner feminine, asking her to awaken and transform.

Venus represents the feminine lover archetype. She is Aphrodite in Greek mythology, and her energy is about sensuality, pleasure, harmony, love, sexuality, beauty, and artistry. These are the parts of ourselves that are coming more online, and we can help this process by bringing our focus and awareness to them.

She’s conjunct the South Node, which means the South Node is also the focal point of the kite pattern described above. For the feminine to awaken more within us, there may be things in the way (old energy, wounds, toxic feminine patterns) that need to be released for her to rise more. It’s like the feminine is a river of energy within us, but there are objects in the river damming its flow. This aspect pattern is asking us to move these objects out of the way so she can flow more freely and awaken more fully in our bodies.

Reflective Questions/Journal Prompts:

  • What activities or practices help me connect to the pleasure and sensations in my body?

  • What beautiful things surround me? Can I be present and receptive to this beauty, allowing it to fill my heart?

  • How does my heart feel? What does my heart need?

  • How does it feel to connect to my sexual center? What comes up for me when I bring my loving awareness to that place in my body?

  • How connected do I feel to my inner lover? What does she feel like in my body?

Inner Masculine Transformation

At the start of this guide, I mentioned that masculine energy is loud during this Full Moon in Ari. This is because there is a Grand Cross aspect with Mars and Mercury (conjunct in Scorpio), squaring Pluto and Jupiter, who are opposing each other. Mars and Mercury are also opposing Chiron and the asteroid Eris, who are squaring Pluto and Jupiter.

Besides Eris (the dark goddess of chaos and disruption), all of these planets are masculine archetypes. A Grand Cross is a challenging aspect. It generates tension and friction, often to the point where we are forced to take action to relieve the pressure.

These planets are pointing to our inner masculine warrior, as well as masculine wounds, the ego, where we source our power, and how we wield our power. Mercury-Mars square Pluto is deeply transformative, but also intensely shadowy. Astrologer Pam Gregory notes that whenever a Mercury-Pluto square occurs, “secrets tend to come to light.” This may be especially true because Mercury is in the sign of Scorpio—the sign of secrets.

Essentially, anything hidden, especially as it relates to the masculine warrior and how we use our power, will come to light—collectively and individually. This is a time for cleansing and purging out old toxic masculine dynamics and tuning into the frequency of the Sacred Masculine. The Sacred Masculine is pure consciousness. He can hold and witness anything and everything. He does not exert his power over others or dominate by force. He is loving, calm, wise, and cooperative.

Because these planets are all squaring or opposing each other, this energy can show up as extremely disruptive, intense, chaotic, and triggering. We’ll probably see this in the collective, but it will be loud individually as well. Keep an eagle eye on your ego, and really become aware of what place you're taking action from. Are you making decisions, reacting, or taking action from a wounded warrior, egoic place? Or are you centered and responding from a wise place?

Rage is a teacher; it can show you what you truly care about, what touches your heart, and what boundaries are being crossed. If you feel rage, irritation, or frustration arising, let it teach you. The main caution here is to be aware of these energies taking over where you are reacting instead of responding. Of course, the reaction is a teacher too, but we can flow with the energy more harmoniously when we center and ground ourselves. Otherwise, we could create more tension and chaos around us than necessary.

Reflective Questions/Journal Prompts:

  • What are the power dynamics in my closest relationships? In what ways do I (perhaps unknowingly) give my power away or subtly exert my power over others?

  • What is my tension, stress, rage, or irritation trying to tell or show me?

  • What practices or activities help me release my anger or tension and feel more grounded and centered?

  • Are there any truths I’m denying or secrets I’m hiding that I need to acknowledge or express, even just to myself?

  • using breath, sound, visualization, and movement. Focus on your pelvic region, allowing energy to flow freely there.

    • If shame or fear are tied into those things, allow yourself to be wrapped in the unconditional love of the Great Mother and remember you are deeply loved even in your darkest, lowest places. Nothing can separate you from love—nothing.

  • Are any wounds coming to the surface? If so, how can I best care for myself, and what do those wounds need? Do they need my love, attention, or acceptance? Do I need to release any attachments or identities tied to them?

Practice Ideas

Because this is a Full Moon, we are in the releasing and letting-go cycle of the lunar phase. As such, focus on what you are meant to let go of at this time that best serves your highest path forward.

You can keep that intention in the background as you work with the different archetypal energies at play. Feel into which one stands out for you, and allow your body to awaken to its wisdom.

Archetypal Energies to Work With

  • Sacred Feminine: Pleasure practices, body wisdom, and movement. Allow the raw energy of the Sacred Feminine to move through your body using breath, sound, visualization, and movement. Focus on your pelvic region, allowing energy to flow freely there.

    • You can also imagine the feminine as a river of energy flowing through your body. Notice if there are any blocks or dense points interrupting the flow. With your intention, movement, breath, sound, and visualizations, see if you can move, release, or soften those blocks. Perhaps all that’s needed is to simply be with them as a loving observer.

  • Masculine Warrior: Connect with your inner masculine warrior. Begin by breathing into your heart space, then with intention, allow your masculine warrior to step forward. Let his energy fill you, and play with the experience. While embodying this archetype, you could set the intention to cleanse and release anything that does not serve, and focus on anchoring your warrior into your heart.

  • Shadow Work: With a helping spirit or guide, go on a meditative journey into your underworld and see what’s ready to be addressed, accepted, healed, or transformed. You can also work with the raw energetics by intending to release anything in your body that no longer serves. Give yourself the freedom to move, breathe, sound, and visualize it leaving your body.

  • Medusa: Invite the archetype of Medusa, in her highest and most sacred expression, to come into your space and teach you. Allow her to move through your body and reveal what masks you’re wearing that no longer serve.

  • Mary Magdalene: Connect with your sacred heart and invite her into your space. Allow her to teach you and to show you the feeling of unconditional, devotional love.

  • Vesta: Connect to your inner sacred fire. Allow it to reveal itself in your body—it may be in your heart, your core, your pelvic floor, or somewhere else. Trust wherever it is, and focus on that flame, feeding it with your attention. Play with the experience. Ask it to teach you, and see what unfolds.

I hope these practice ideas inspire you to experientially engage with this beautiful and fiery Full Moon. If the going gets tough and you’re filled with a lot of emotions or tension, ask the Great Spirit, your Higher Self, or your spirit guides (whatever name resonates most for you) to help you. They will.

May this Full Moon in Aries bless you with courage and the powerful fire of your inner sovereignty. May you release anything that no longer serves your highest path forward.

With Love,
